The most used feature in excel for analysing data is the PivotTable. It’s the power and flexibility that comes with this tool that makes it the go-to feature in Excel. Excel’s PivotTable helps you to answer these questions effortlessly. PivotTable is a summary table that lets you count, average, sum, and perform other calculations. With the latest version they have added a whole array of new features. One of the most talked about new features is the Slicer.
Unfortunately, the pivot table does have its downside. One of these is when you change the source of a PivotTable, and the table doesn’t automatically refresh. This is where the new table feature combined with formulas steps in. One of the most underused features of Excel is the Table. Tables in Excel are dynamic, so when you use formulas with tables, your formulas become dynamic and react to any changes made without having to worry about refreshing.
